Heather Hicks
Heather Hicks joined the SVH team in August 2017 and is currently the Katie’s Place Program Director, Medicaid Specialist, and SVH Adult Services Program Coordinator. Heather has a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and resides Roanoke, VA with her husband and children.
Heather began working with adults with special needs in 2001 and worked for a local community mental health agency for 10 years. Heather came to SVH Services with a wealth of experience in special-education, day program development/management and Medicaid management. Heather has been a partner and coach for Area 8 Special Olympics for 6 years. Working with adults who have Developmental Disabilities is Heather’s passion. Heather promotes inclusion in all areas.
In her free time, Heather enjoys watching football, baseball, and spending time with her children and husband.
