Achieve Employment is a program under the Adult Services umbrella of St. Vincent's Home. Services are funded through Medicaid Waiver programs (DBHDS), Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS), and private pay. This Employment Services Organization (ESO) program empowers individuals with varying abilities and disabilities through the following two programs:
- Assessment Services - A brief program in which the client will learn more about work preferences plus unique skills and needs on the job. The client and a job coach will visit one or more job sites and will complete work tasks there to help him or her identify skills and environments they might enjoy and those with which the client may need help. The experiences at the job sites will help the client and the job coach develop personalized recommendations for vocational goals and plans.
- Job Development and Training Services - This program offers options for those who want to work in a competitive, integrated environment. The client will be provided with job coaching services, training, and other services focusing on individual strengths and interests. Ultimately the goal is to match the client with local employers for paid, sustainable employment. The client will also receive support long-term to ensure that their employment needs are continually addressed over time. Achieve Employment Staff also work with individuals who desire a more customized employment approach.
